SC 1.2.5 Audio Description

Now for success criterion 1.2.5 audio description, this requires now an audio description for all recorded synchronized media.

So for all videos that have audio, you need to have an audio description.

And that basically replaces the single A success criterion 1.2.3, which says you need either a transcript or audio description.

With 1.2.5, you have to have an audio description.

So you will always meet 1.2.3 when you meet 1.2.5.

Now, you should, best practice is to also provide a transcript or alternative for time-based media.

But you don't need to do that.

if you meet 1.2.5 with an audio description, then you don't need to think about 1.2.3 at all.
